Mondays with Mé

Reading Rainbow meets Dance Dance Revolution.

Project Date: 2022
Team: Arts for All

In collaboration with performer, a theater artist, teaching artist, author, filmmaker, and choreographer Mélissa Smith, I produced and directed Mondays with Mé, a monthly online kids show distributed by Arts for All, an arts education nonprofit supporting under-resourced schools in New York City.

After two seasons of live broadcasts from Miss Mé, our production team completely reimagined season three as a deeply-inclusive, on-demand reading and movement experience for early elementary students.

Our production team featured music and book partnerships from a diverse cohort of artists and authors (including Grammy and Caldecott award winners). Each episode is filled with silly dance breaks, mindfulness moments, inspiring books, and groovy music from kids indie artists. Think Reading Rainbow meets Dance Dance Revolution!

Miss Mé is Levar Burton, Jane Fonda, and Fred Rogers all rolled into one joyful human... so this show is as much for kids as it is for kids at heart. Together, we employed laughter, learning, and kindness to enrich young minds and strengthen family connections.
